Terms & Conditions

Effective date: September 24, 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Mysafehub website, the Mysafehub demo application, and any emergency mesh services we operate (together, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these terms.

Mysafehub is a disaster-resilient emergency coordination platform, currently available as a web app. It is a supplementary coordination tool — it is not a replacement for official emergency numbers, and in a life-threatening emergency you should always contact local emergency services first where they are reachable.

2. Nature of the service

Mysafehub relays small, structured emergency payloads between nearby devices over Bluetooth Low Energy and Wi-Fi Direct. Delivery depends on other participating devices being within range, so we cannot guarantee that any message will be delivered, or delivered within a particular time.

Content you send — such as SOS alerts, check-ins, and resource requests — may be relayed and temporarily stored by other users' devices (store-and-forward) before reaching a responder.

3. Acceptable use

You must not use the Services to send false emergency alerts, harass or threaten others, interfere with emergency operations, or attempt to impersonate a verified responder or organization.

Misuse of the SOS or verification systems — including submitting fraudulent organization codes or biometric samples — may result in revocation of access and referral to relevant authorities.

4. Verification tiers

Tier 1 (biometric liveness) verification is performed on your device; the resulting cryptographic signature attests that a live person held the device, not that any specific claim is true.

Tier 2 (official responder) status is granted only to accounts activated with pre-authorized institutional credentials issued by a partnering organization. We may suspend or revoke Tier 2 status at the request of the issuing organization.

5. Demo and preview content

Demonstration versions of the app may contain sample alerts, locations, and responder data created for illustration. Sample data does not describe real people or live incidents.

Figures and statistics on this website are drawn from third-party sources cited alongside them; while we select sources carefully, we do not control their methodology.

6. Liability

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mysafehub is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from use of, or inability to use, the Services — including failed or delayed message delivery during an emergency.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated effective date.

Questions about these terms can be sent through our Contact page.
